About Emergency Grants

PAFC provides grants for immediate, emergency assistance to individuals in cooperation with other non-profit agencies. We also strive to heighten awareness of the needs of older adults (age 60+) and the many ways we, as friends, neighbors, community members and leaders, can support those needs.

PAFC maintains a fund to distribute emergency grants to low income older adults who need immediate assistance with medical or dental care, moving costs, emergency home repair, eyeglasses, etc.  We require that all applications be submitted by a case manager who has determined that no existing community resources are able to address this need. While requests may not always meet PAFC guidelines, an effort is always made to direct inquiries to appropriate resources in the community.
