This is the second of a regular series of topic-driven roundtable conversations between young people and older adults in the community. While topics will vary, discussions will highlight how age impacts respective views on common issues, and how we could broaden our thinking by talking and listening to each other.
This second conversation will be about the “Intergenerational Digital Divide”. Rapid advances in technology have had a major impact on how we communicate and interact with the world. Young people are practically born with a smart phone in hand while the more senior generations face the challenge of shifting from how things used to be. Conversations will focus on generational perspectives on the personal use of digital technology.
Space is limited, but the event is open to interested conversationalists 15-21 years of age or those who are 60 or older. Coffee, tea, juice and pastries will be available.
There is no charge for attending, but we do require
