PAFC Executive Director

Job Description

PAFC is a non-profit organization and a member of AARP’s network of age-friendly communities dedicated to making Larimer County a more livable community in which older adults flourish as they age. PAFC is comprised of community stakeholders and volunteers. We are seeking an Executive Director who can work closely with all levels of the organization and the community to achieve this vision.

Position Summary: This is a part-time position at 20 hours a week. The work is primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings. The Executive Director will lead the Partnership for Age-Friendly Communities’ initiative to continue building an age-friendly community in Larimer County. The Executive Director will work collaboratively with the Board of Directors, the Steering Committee, the Priority Groups, local governments, various departments at Colorado State Univerity, and community partners to ensure communication and coordination between all groups to achieve objectives. The Executive Director will be interacting with a diverse group of people so the candidate must be a relationship-oriented team builder with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate people. This position is dependent on available funding streams and its continuation. The ED is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic fund development plan to ensure the ongoing growth of the PAFC.

Salary: $38,000 - $42,000 dependent on experience. Benefits: Negotiable

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development

  1. Identify, apply and maintain funding to support PAFC and projects developed by the organization.

  2. Work with the Board and Steering Committee to develop and maintain relationships with donors and potential donors.

  3. Oversee operational and financial objectives for the organization.

Leadership & Communication

  1. Work with the Board, Steering Committee, and Priority Groups to develop and implement strategies to achieve the mission and vision of the organization.

  2. Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups.

  3. Organize and attend events to promote PAFC’s mission and successes with the community and to gain community input through representation at community activities.

  4. Communicate the goals and successes of PAFC to the community through monthly newsletter, social media, presentations at public meetings, etc.

  5. Supervise staff and support volunteers in a manner that creates a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred

  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

  3. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizations skills

  4. Successful track record working independently on teams and completing projects on time

  5. At least five years of experience in community planning, project management, and program development; resource development

  6. Experience in developing comprehensive fundraising plans, writing successful grants and working with donors

  7. Knowledge of the Larimer County community, its nonprofit sector, service providers for older adults, and local government

  8. Proven ability to work independently and in collaborative groups

  9. Valid Colorado driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Larimer County including rural areas

  10. Available to work a standard office schedule with occasional evenings, early mornings or Saturdays

  11. Experience with online platforms to facilitate messaging and group meetings

  12. Experience with social media. and various office software

  13. Candidates with familiarity and connections in northern Colorado preferred
