Glad there’s Soup - by Steve Nelson

Age 74 seemed such a perfect year - back country skiing on Cameron, Downhill skiing at Snowy Range (free for my age group).  Delightful trips with my remarkable wife…bicycle trips, cruises, country seen and not seen (before) and camping.

Then bouts with bronchitis needing prednisone (a magical drug) and alerts from my urologist that the recent PSA test results are too high then double hernia surgery and eventually cancer treatment (45 days of trekking to the cancer center - I’m glad it is there) and then total knee replacement.

Whew…I’m so glad there is soup!
