Following Threads -by Kirsten Hartman

Recently my email system was "hacked". Several different types of emails went out to friends. Some were just so poorly written and didn't make sense. Others said I needed various types of help. As I was letting friends know I was okay, the question came up. "How did the hacking happen? Where did it come from?". This reminded me of conversations around Covid. When someone gets Covid the questions are: " How did you get it? Who gave it to you?"
Tracing and following threads...does that really solve the problems at hand? In the early days of the pandemic tracing was helpful. But now, like sick email systems, it is more important to keep cleaning up potential threats! I wish I had a good mask for my computer!
